Computational Challenges In Online Advertisements

Online advertisement industry is growing at a rapid pace. I will introduce some computational aspects of placing online advertisements in various contexts: pay-per-click advertisements alongside search results or publisher content pages and pay-per-impression banner ads on publisher content pages. Online advertisement placement is a challenging task that involves machine learning, mathematical optimization, microeconomics, natural language processing, and information retrieval.
