11/2022 Our Paper Bracelet+ won SenSys 2022 Best Paper Award!
10/2022 Our sensing with mobility paper won MobiCom 2022 Best Paper Award Runner-up. We opened a new direction that is empowering sensing with mobility to boost the potential of wireless sensing. Our indoor localization paper won MobiCom 2022 Best Community Paper Award Runner-up. This is an indoor localization system currently used in more than 1400+ shopping malls and 300+ office buildings across 35 cities. It is used by millions of end-users on a daily basis. We hope the practical problems identified can change the focus and methodology of indoor localization research.
10/2022 Four papers accepted at ACM SenSys 2022. (i) harvesting RF leakage energy with body antenna; (ii) LTE-based low-cost and low-power sensing; (iii) LoRa sensing in the presence of device motions and (iv) room-level asoutics sensing.
09/2022 Our low packet rate WiFi sensing work won SECON '22 Best Paper Award. This work moves one step forward towards coexistence of WiFi sensing and WiFi communication.
08/2022 My student Binbin Xie was awarded the prestigious Google Ph.D. Fellowship (2022 - 2024). Congratulations!

08/2021 Two papers accepted at IMWUT (UbiComp '21): 1) LoRa-based long range sensing: maximizing signal variation through delicate signal processing to significantly increase the sensing range of human walking from 50 m to 120 m; and 2) acoustic-based dangerous driving detection.

03/2021 Our hand vibration-based continuous authentication work was accepted at ICDCS 2021.

12/2020 Two papers accepted at MobiCom '21 summer round: 1) Bringing Intelligence to All Headphones: we present a headphone-based sensing platform which brings intelligence to headphones and involve headphones into the ecosystem of smart sensing; 2) we present an underwater VLC system to address unique challenges in underwater environment.

07/2019 TagSleep was accepted at IMWUT (UbiComp '19). We propose the concept of "two-layer sensing". We employ the sensed respiration data as the first-layer information to obtain rich second-layer sleep information such as snore and cough.
