Projects

Students are required to undertake a semester long research project related to topics covered in this seminar course. Students may propose a related research problem they are interested in working on, or may choose a project from the list provided by the instructor (please meet with the instructor). However, students are encouraged to come up with project ideas on their own. Students may work on the projects individually or in groups of two after discussing with the instructor.

To come up with project ideas you may look at the papers presented at recent top-tier security conferences:

• ACM CCS
• NDSS
• IEEE Security & Privacy
• USENIX Security

Some other system conferences also publish security track papers:

• IMC, USENIX ATC, EuroSys, TheWebConf etc

Deadlines and other important dates:

• 02/16/2024: Project Proposal due.
• 03/29/2024: Midterm Project Progress Update.
• 05/08/2024 and 05/10/2024: Final project presentations.
• 05/12/2024: Project reports due.
