About me. I am currently a PhD candidate in CICS of UMass Amherst working with Prof. James Allan in the Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval (CIIR). I work on different Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning problems. Currently, I enjoy working on Cross-Lingual Information Retrieval (CLIR) which includes desigining search and recommendation models that are language-agnostic with the help of machine translation literature. I obtained my MS degree in computer engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, 2016. I was fortunate to be a member of Bilkent Information Retrieval Group (BilIR) and work under the supervision of Prof. Fazli Can. I received my B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering (Software Engineering) from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran, in 2013.
