Hello! I am a newly joined Lecturer and also a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at University of Massachusetts Amherst working with my advisor, Prof. Prashant Shenoy, in the Laboratory for Advance Software System (LASS). My research interests include smart grid, smart building, and renewable energy with emphasis on sustainability (e.g. mitigating greenhouse gas emission) and a bit on privacy and fairness. I expect to defend my thesis and finish my PhD in 2024.
Prior coming to UMass, I joined a startup company called Piggipo. We developed a mobile app that help Thai people manage and reduce their credit card debt. We won DTAC Accelerate Program in 2014 and got funded by 500 Startups Thailand. It was an amazing time in my life! I got a chance to meet many nice and brilliant people around the world, which, in the end, led me to my journey to the U.S.
In the past few years, I had a chance to teach First Year Seminar (as the main instructor) and Computer Networks (as a co-instruct with Prof. Jim Kurose - my extraordinary teaching mentor!) courses at UMass Amherst. I enjoyed it a lot and decided to pursue a career in academia with a focus on teaching. After many many many job interviews (it’s really that many), I (unexpectedly) now become a lecturer here at UMass! I am really thankful for people who supported me during this long journey.
This semester (Fall 2024) I am teaching CS 230: Computer Systems Principles (with Joe Chiu) and CS 377: Operating Systems at UMass Amherst. Super excited!
