We are shifting toward looking at factors that affect the design choices of architects, and that are driving some changes in how architectrues are built. So we took some time today to review the VLSI fabrication process, cost factors, and failure modes. We breifly looked at the first of the three papers but didn’t have time to discuss it. Next time we’ll have that discussion, look at the other papers, and move on to the new material.
