Today we went over the structure of the class, the expectations for homework, presentations, and the semester app development project. Be sure to read the syllabus and homework schedule. We also started looking at what makes a successful app. 

It’s very important, if you plan to use a Hackintosh, that you actually install Xcode, get one of the more advanced apps from the code base for the book, compile and test it with the simulator, and then see if you can provision a device and test it on that device. Apple’s developer software tends to be very hardware dependent, and in past versions of the course, people have discovered part way through that their mock mac breaks down at some critical point in development or deployment. It’s really best to develop on an actual Mac.
