Red-necked Parrot Dialects

Red-necked Parrot (Amazona arausiaca), an endemic parrot of Dominica, apparently has dialects (according to Stephen Durand), at least two, one in the north and one in the south, Here are some recordings with sonograms of birds from Morne Diablotin singing with a northern accent and some birds from above Mero in the Southeast singing with a southern accent. These are not particularly good scientific samples since individuals and behaviors are not noted. It is also unlikely that they involve the complete repertoire of either dialect. Nevertheless, they may be of interest.
