Sandhya Saisubramanian

I am a Ph.D. candidate, advised by Prof. Shlomo Zilberstein at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. My research focus is on designing automated planning algorithms for fully and partially observable stochastic systems, in both single and multi-agent scenarios. Prior to embarking on my Ph.D. journey, I worked as a Research Engineer under Prof. Pradeep Varakantham at Singapore Management University, Singapore. I obtained my Masters' degree from National University of Singapore, Singapore and my Bachelor's degree from Pondicherry University, India.

Research Interests

My research interests are broadly in Artificial Intelligence, Optimization and Machine (Reinforcement) Learning. My long term goal is to build Intelligent Decision Support Systems for real-world environments, which includes, but not limited to: (i) Building large-scale agent-based intelligent systems that reason with uncertainty in complex, real-world environments, and (ii) Constraint-based optimization for single and multi-agent systems.
