Hello. I am Mahmood Jasim.

I am a Ph.D. candidate working with Professor Narges Mahyar in the HCI-VIS lab at UMass Amherst. My research goal is to design, develop, and evaluate decision-support systems to enable informed data-driven decision-making to address complex socio-technical problems and make more confident personal decisions. I combine techniques and methodologies from Human-Computer Interactions (HCI), Information Visualization, Applied Machine Learning, and Social Computing to build decision-support systems to enable informed data-driven decision-making.

I am currently on the job market. If you have an opening for a Post-Doc or a tenured-track faculty position, please reach out to me. You can find my application materials here ().
