Hi Folks,

Please accept my apologies for this off topic post.

This is a capture I got off SETI web site:

The Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence

SETI@home is a scientific experiment that will harness the power of
hundreds of thousands of Internet-connected computers in the Search for
Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI). You can participate by running a
program that downloads and analyzes radio telescope data. There's a
small but captivating possibility that your computer will detect the
faint murmur of a civilization beyond Earth.

SETI@home is scheduled to start in April 1999. To join our mailing list,
please visit: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/

I found out about this experiment this morning. Apparently the program
described above runs as a screen saver and will analyze a small chunk of
data when your computer isn't doing anything. If your computer should
find signs of life you'll get credit for it!

The software will be free and will be available for Windows, Macs and
Unix.

If this interests you at all please pass this message along to as many
people as possible.
