Greeting simmers....

Is it possible to edit, via ADE98, a ground drag scalar to simulate
drag while the aircraft is on the ground? I have been attempting
to duplicate the effect of a flying boat - long, slow takeoff run at
full power as the hull clears the water. And the reverse as she
lands - ease her down, then quickly decelerates as the water drag
grabs the hull.

Using ADE, I have tried changing the landing gear from "fixed"
to "skids"; this creates so much drag that the plane will not move
at full throttle. Possibly the value is calculated from the aircraft
"footprint"? I really do not know.

The flight characteristics are pretty much set at this point. I do
not wish to change engine horsepower, cruise drag, etc. Nor
do I want a spoiler for takeoff / landing.

Comments welcome and greatly appreciated.

Andy
