just upgraded to a system with a pci128 soundblaster, voodooII, pIII 450.
everything fine, lots of graphics, few things switched off, get 36fps
most of the time. great :-)

but there's a small problem with the sound. when driving the ferrari,
some of the cars, when they go whipping past me, sound awful,
their engine sound seems to break up badly. but ferrari sound is ok.

and when driving the lotus, i get a fairly frequent 'static burst',
eg. at the glen, sliding round turn 3. and a lot a spa. happens in
practice mode too.

i tried changing max sounds, didn't help.

any ideas what i should look at next?

martin.
