The OpenGL version runs okay on a TNT, once you jump through the 
appropriate hoops.  (1. Get the right drivers.  2. Turn down mirror
refresh rate.)  Dunno about the i740.  

If big downloads don't bother you too much, give the latest demo a 
try.  (I don't know if they added OpenGL to it, but that'll at
least let you know if the software rendering is okay for you.)  Or 
(if you're in the US) buy the game at a reputable store like EBX or 
Software Etc., which will let you return it if it doesn't work 
decently on your system.  (Remember, friends don't let friends 
shop at Best Buy.)
