Hi Everyone,

For those who might be interested, I get 36fps on the starting grid by
setting up GPL like this:

System: P2/333 64mb Monster3D2 12mb (No overclocking anywhere)

Options in GPL:
All textures in main view including arms and bevelled tires.
Turn off all textures in mirrors.
Turn off the 'quality' options: No dynamic lighting or the other
option.
Turn off dirt, dust and skid marks.
    Detail to 0%
    800x600
    Mirrors set to cars only
    Objects set to all.

I use the spread out grid patterns. While hosting get 36fps on the grid

with cars in front and behind.

Turning off skid marks on 'net races seems to be a good idea because
latency problems make your opponents leave much more skid marks than
normal. This doesn't help on the start but I was just describing the
online settings I use.

Jason.
