What type of wheel did you get? If the pedal doesn't give you decent
feedback pressure then perhaps a modification is in order, I dropped two
seconds after modifying mine.
Stomping on the pedal isn't so bad as long as you don't lock up, you'll
see it if your fronts lock, just modulate the pedal a bit. Brake hard just
to the point where you hear your tires squealing for traction, some squeal
is desireable as this indicates maximum traction is being obtained, btw
the same applies for turning .
JM oh yeah, a few hundred more laps will help...;-o

hi,
i have just bought a wheel and pedals after months of joystick and
keyboard brake/accelerator.
with all driving aids off, everything is fine, and i'm getting used to
not stepping too sharply on the loud pedal when trying to dig the car
out of corners, but, braking consists of straightening up the car,
coming off the gas, and stamping on the brake, locking everything up,
and releasing the brakes just in time to turn in. i've tried other,
more sensible, techniques, but none work for me. i find it really
hard to judge how much speed i'm loosing. any hints/tips/urls greatly
appreciated.oh, brake/gas are on a split axis. is this part of my
trouble?
or am i just lazy and i should practice more?
