hi,

i have just bought a wheel and pedals after months of joystick and
keyboard brake/accelerator.

with all driving aids off, everything is fine, and i'm getting used to
not stepping too sharply on the loud pedal when trying to dig the car
out of corners, but, braking consists of straightening up the car,
coming off the gas, and stamping on the brake, locking everything up,
and releasing the brakes just in time to turn in. i've tried other,
more sensible, techniques, but none work for me. i find it really
hard to judge how much speed i'm loosing. any hints/tips/urls greatly
appreciated.

oh, brake/gas are on a split axis. is this part of my trouble?

or am i just lazy and i should practice more?

martin.
