Hi Ed,

I can't tell you my core.ini settings -- because I browse this newsgroup
from work *shhhhhh* don't tell anyone ;)

In the GPL/README file it talks about how to setup a cable-modem
using the core.ini file --- This is not recommended for modem users
as it will cause GPL to dial your ISP everytime you start it.

You could try to PING the hosts' IP address before connecting.
If the ping is above 250ms that would give you a 500ms latency -- not
too good. Of course, the lower the better.

If your from Western North America, Tim McArther's server at
24.1.24.139 (or my server -- not up at the moment) should be
good choices to try.

Jason.
