Dimitrios,

Congratulations on your first solo Dimitrios but I can't say I like the idea of
someone taking photos on their first solo.

Sure you should be able to set the aircraft up on a stabilised approach and not
have to do much with the controls but your first solo is not the place to be
messing about like this.

Not only are you putting yourself and the aeroplane at risk but think of your
instructor. She has placed a huge amount of trust in you to safely do what you
have been practicing for the past few hours. Imagine how she would have felt if
something had gone wrong. Your instructor sent out it good faith, how would she
feel if her student had gone out and killed himself on his first flight
beacause he was taking photos? I'm sure she expected you to display a much
higher level of airmanship. I would be horrified if any of my students tried
this on their first flight.

Don't let this detract from the moment. Your first solo is a very special
moment but I just hope that your airmanship matures with your flying ability.

Leave the photos from later. Much better to be looking at it all out of the
window in the air than in photos in a hospital bed.

Steve.
