Jim Weir (RST -- Radio System Technologies) has some diagrams on his web site.

I believe that PS Engineering does as well (I know they have some on modifying 
PTT switches).  I find it strange, however, that you are having this problem.  
Heck, they drive the mic input with everything from Electrec to Dynamic to old 
carbon mics without trouble.
