The eternal "student" RLB is still begging for attention and posted the
following:

And how, pray tell, will a terminal STUDENT improve on the work of a
PILOT?

Since March 1, 1989, the US has been a signatory of the Berne
Convention, and your use of Gene Whitt's work has violated both US and
international copyright law. The Berne Convention, started in 1886, is
the oldest and most widely-adhered-to copyright convention, and US
copyright laws have, since March 1, 1989, conformed to the Convention.

Under Berne, there is no requirement that a published work bear a
copyright notice in order to prevent the work from entering the public
domain. The US Copyright Act, brought into line with Berne, provides
that a proper copyright notice precludes a defendant accused with
infringement from asserting the defense of "innocent infringement,"
which otherwise might enable a defendant to avoid actual and statutory
damages.

Your copyright infringement is, in any case, in NO WAY "innocent
infringement", since you were notified by Whitt that his material was
*not* PD nor would he allow anyone (especially a pathetic permanent
student) to alter his own works.

Spoken like a true student of Goebbels. "Whatever your faults, attack
and accuse your enemy of those same faults over and over; the people
will accept what you say if you say it loud enough and often enough." It
doesn't work here, "STUDENT".
