I'd think the "POH" copy you get from the manufacturer wouldn't be legal
until you redid all the weight & balance calculations, new nonstandard
equipment, etc., that were done since the aircraft left the factory. 

Here's my question, then. When you alter your aircraft and revise your
own POH, must you 'register' it by sending updates back to the
manufacturer? Otherwise this microfiche copy still wouldn't be legal to
fly with, right?
