It doesn't take too much of a stretch of the imagination
(or riding right seat as a safety pilot for very long)
to imagine a pilot flying an NDB approach to an airport
calling up and being off by a mile or two. Especially
one not equipped with Loran or GPS (Is there anybody
left flying IFR without one of those two on board? :)).
