Ok. Why? A safety pilot's job description is simply to
prevent the aircraft from colliding with the ground and
other planes.

Do eyes not work as well in multis and the multi training
somehow teaches you to compensate?

A safety pilot for the purposes of instrument training is
not on board to fly the plane in the event the pilot
somehow becomes unable to do so.....

Perhaps you could offer some insight that supports your
assertion? You could be right -- I'm not a multi pilot,
so I wouldn't know. But I'm having difficult imagining
anything.
