If you come up with a good answer, let me know. I'd settle for
a taildragger off ANY runway around here. Three years ago, there
were a number of taildraggers for rent locally from Cub to C120
to Citabrias and Decathlons. Now if there are any, I can't find
'em. There are a couple of CFIs with a lot of taildragger time,
who would be happy to provide instruction -- IF I can provide
a plane. A couple more who have a plane and will provide dual--
but won't rent it solo, even to someone they've endorsed for
taildragger.

The catch is: I want to, eventually, be able to fly the plane
solo. As we all know, until one solos one only THINKS one can
do it -- one doesn't, viscerally, KNOW. What does it say for
an instructor's ability, or his confidence in his student's ability,
if the student is never allowed to fly the plane solo?

So for now I settle for flying my nosedragger off grass runways.
Which he handles very well, wheel pants and all.

Beats walking :)
