Major almanacs are compiled by the US Naval Observatory in Washington,
DC. (http://www.usno.navy.mil/ and click PRODUCTS.) They do the
Astronomical Almanac, the Nautical Almanac, and the Air Almanac and
Astronomical Phenomena. They don't sell directly, though, so go to
http://www.access.gpo.gov/su_docs/sale/prf/prf.html and search for
'almanac'. The books range from $8.50 to $59.00, and they apparently do
ship internationally.
