No, you initially made an observation.  When experienced people
follow up with "this is what I do" you said (quote)

That is not an observation, it is a *judgement* on your part.
That your fellow pilots who don't complete a full preflight
every time they fly 50 nm and get out to take a leak are "short
cutting, complacent, cutting corners" etc.

If you can't tell the difference between an observation and
a value judgement, I suggest that you can't learn any younger
and now would be a good time to start.

If you can, please explain what is magical about a full stop
landing after a short flight, vs. a touch and go or a 450 nm
leg, wrt what could happen to the plane?

The problem with people who try to leave with chocks under 
wheels, plane tied down etc is not lack of preflight.  It is
lack of focus as these are things which can be seen on the briefest
and most cursory walk-around the plane.

I have a crystal ball.  It predicts that at some point, you, Saint
Stephen Ames, will get in the plane ready to leave with a tiedown
still attached or a chock still under the wheel.
