KNOW YOUR AIRSPACE.

The one thing I noticed more than anything else (and other people have
said the same thing) is that the most important part seems to be your
airspace. Know EVERYTHING about that sectional. Know every symbol. know
every colour.

Oh, and know everything else, as well.

The oral is NOT a multiple choice exam. Your examiner will not look down
on you for answering "100EAST" and then going down the list, naming each
of the inspections. But if you do make a mistake or hesitate, he'll
almost certainly dig deeper to see just how unsure you are.

Last piece of advice: Don't answer more than the examiner asks. don't
give more detail than was requested ("Those blue hashed lines? Those
denote a restricted area, unlike the purple ones which are, umm..."
You'll hang yourself that way.
