Just a different take, but...think about who are your passengers and
what do you wish to accomplish for them?

The most striking memory for several people discussing their first
plane ride was...the noise! They liked the flight, but they really
disliked the noise level. I lent them my Lightspeed 20Ks for our
flight, they were a big hit.

So maybe if your passenger is a spouse or someone else you wish to
interest in flying, you should either get them the best headset
you can afford, or lend them yours?

I wonder if you put up a note, if fellow new pilots in the same
boat would be willing to set up a "headset sharing" club
