You can make that "satisfied *customer*" for me.

IMO AOPA is NOT acting in the interests of its members by setting
itself up as an aircraft insurance broker, and by its position
wrt renters insurance.

It costs very little to name pilots on the aircraft insurance,
with subrogation waiver. A few FBOs do this. Then renter's
insurance is pretty much superfluous.

In my opinion, AOPA should be encouraging and promoting this,
and publicising FBOs and flight schools which do this -- not
setting up to sell the (much more expensive) product which
is the alternative.

I don't think it's in the interests of their MEMBERS to do
this -- but businesses don't serve members, they market
products to *customers* in order to generate income.

Customer vs Member.

Two pilots in the family, renter's insurance costs $800/yr. That's
a good chunk of change! Enough to make the difference between flying
once/month and flying every two weeks.

PS if you agree with the above, don't be shy, let AOPA know what
serves their members interests
