The main difference in a power aircraft is you want to maintain some power and
not have the throttle idle when you touch down and have a nose high attitude.
You want to keep the power up and nose high to prevent catching the nose wheel
and flipping the aircraft.  After landing you want to keep some back pressure
on the yoke and keep moving.  You want to keep moving to avoid getting stuck
in loose sand or mud.   

Another, consideration for low wing aircraft is the use of full flaps.  If 
the runway is rocky or has gravel your flaps might get damaged if fully extended 
and your wheels are kicking up rocks.  

Grab your instructor and find a grass runway to practice on.  You may find that
you prefer grass landings.
