: Well its like this, My current med (class 1) allowing me ATP priveledges
: expires in 5 months 2 weeks and then reverts to a class 2 allowing me
: commercial priviledges still allowing me to make money then it expires 6 months
: later. reverting to a 3rd class which doesn't let me make money for 2 more
: years at my age. So you see I actually have three different medicals on one
: piece of paper and I better know when each of them expire so I know what I can

: Remember flying the plane is only a small part of being a pilot.

I still think they should type the dates on the medical. If someone doesnt
know they can look it up in the FARs. A lot of people dont realize that you
are allowed to have a FAR/AIM on your oral and are allowed to use them. Thus,
if a DE asked you when does a particular medical expire you can get out your
FAR and read the rules to him. Now, on the written exam you are not allowed
to have a FAR and have to memorize rules that could easily be looked up. Go
figure?
