No, I saw that, in fact I responded to it. It's not relevant.
See below; I'm still not sure you've got some things straight.

There are two separate issues here. One is, whether this means
you have to stay with a CFI whose teaching you evidently don't
respect. That's a pile of crap, and the answer is no, bad idea.
(my opinion)

The other is, whether you have to demonstrate all of the maneuvers
in 61.87(d) for the CFI who signs you off to solo.

This is *not* a pile of crap, and the answer (practically speaking)
is "yes". 61.87(c)(2) states that a student pilot must demonstrate
satisfactory proficiency and safety "as judged by an authorized
instructor". (federal regulation having nothing to do with my opinion)

See also 61.87(n), which explicitly states that no instructor
may authorize a student for solo unless the CFI has determined
that the student is proficient in the maneuvers and procedures
described in (d). It's a rare CFI who would make this determination
for first solo without seeing these maneuvers.

So yes, in effect, you have to demonstrate all these maneuvers
to the CFI who signs you off for solo.

In case this influences your decision making process, I thought
this point should be clarified.

I would say it's not a big deal; an efficient CFI can take
you through all those maneuvers in 2-3 hrs. But if the point is
"save hours above all else", then be aware changing CFIs right
before solo may set you back this amount. It is still, IMO, the
right thing to do if you are trying to learn to fly from a CFI
whose teaching you don't seem to respect.

Hope this clarifies things.
