You somewhat misquoted the original question.  What was actually asked
was: "...whether the extra power required for a level, constant speed 
turn is due to the extra drag incurred by the increased g load on the 
airframe or if it's because of the acceleration around the circle..."

Your response was misleading and confusing.  The extra power is due 
SOLELY to the induced drag increase resulting from the "increased 
g-load on the airframe".  "Acceleration around the circle" requires
NO power.
