The only instrument I use in steep turns is the directional gyro, and even
that is not completely necessary because, in this area, there are lots
of roads and fence lines that run north, south, east, west.

(Of course, during the last night flight I had I had trouble gauging the
turn from base to final---couldn't see the fences!!)
