Sam,

I purchased a Headsets, Inc. kit used for $50 and had a local avionics
shop install it for me. I was very unimpressed by the results - but
read on... :-)

A week later, I lost the battery compartment door. Beats me where it
went, but I called Headsets, Inc. looking to purchase a replacement and
they sent me an entire battery compartment for free! 10 points for
great service, especially since I hadn't purchased the unit from then.

I then got tired of reading all of the great stories about their
product on the net and decided the send the whole shebang to them
to look at. Well, it turned out that my local avionics shop had
installed the units upside down and backwards!

HI would have corrected the installation and sent them back to me for
just the price of labor (another 10 points!), but they also offered
me a reduced price to upgrade my old modules to the latest and best
with better ANR and greatly increased battery life (another 50 points)

I went with the upgrade and I'me extremely satisfied with the results.
The HI mod compares very favorably with my Lightspeed 20Ks.

If you already have a quality headset, the HI mod is a definite
winner. Their service is obviously superior. If you want my
advice, go for it!

Regards,
Rick
