Thanks for the advice.  The chief instructor should be in tomorrow, so I'll try &
talk with him.  My current instructor has never had a student fail a checkride & he
doesn't want me to break the trend.  I wonder what fraction of his students made it
to the checkride though.  This guy is covering all the bases & is finding the stuff
that fell through the cracks when the previous CFI's moved on.
