Amen!  And Rich, kudos to you for following up and seeing to it
that the appropriate information got in there.

I think there is a follow-up lesson here, and that is: if any
pilots here are aware of long-standing local customs which are
NOT in the AFD (ie TPA other than 1000 ft AGL, non standard traffic
pattern, non standard pattern entries, preferred calm wind runway),
contact the airport manager and encourage them to submit the
information.

Rich, as a follow up, would you mind posting a quick rundown on
how to accomplish this (address for submitting info, source for
any special form required etc)?  As you point out, often the airport
manager is one overworked individual who wears 10 hats, and surely
a suggestion to submit the information accompanied by the proper
form (and an offer to fill it out, if desired) would be more welcome.
