It's been pointed out in email and via a couple
posts that apparently people seem to think I
was *suggesting* that cranking off the transponder
is a good idea in a Bravo bust.

That just ain't so. Read the clipped paragraphs
from my post:

Apparently I didn't state it strongly enough that
I don't think it's a good idea. Here: Turning off
your transponder after you've busted bravo airspace
increases the illegality of what you are doing and
is a bad, bad thing. Don't do it.

Happy? (You'll also note that that wasn't the option
I personally selected in my incident.)

The fact remains, though, that it is an option. In
fact, it's an option that, according to my MSP
controller friend, *many* people elect to follow.
That alone indicates that it fits into what I was
describing as the *RANGE* of options, as poor a
choice as it may be.
