Oh wait. As someone who has done that (leaving
Palwaukee), I think I can answer this one.

Nothing.

You have a few options, ranging from turn off
the transponder, dive for the deck, and beat it
to turning to head out of the airspace and contacting
Chicago Approach to tell them you blew it and are
leaving.

I opted for the second option. The guy gave me
flight following and handed me off to the next
controller.

Regardless of which method you go with (and I
certainly wouldn't suggest that the first is good),
be sure to file an ASRS form immediately.

I was roughly in your shoes -- I had just gotten
my license and had about 75 hours. I cut all the
way up to 4000 before I caught myself -- I was
distracted by lower visibilities than I was used
to (very legal, though) and all excited about
having some friends onboard for the first time. Was
a pretty typical, dumb inexperienced flyer mistake.
