Get an alarm!

It's YOUR Honda, you bought it, paid for it and need it. It doesn't
matter any at all what it's worth, nobody has the right to steal it.
Probably the same person tried twice. Look for a ramshackle trailer with a
nonfunctional CRX up on blocks in the backyard. This is probably who wants
your engine, so they can run the hell out of it for 10,000 miles before they
kill it from neglect, under oiling, overheating.
Look at JCWhitney, they have good Valiant alarms for about $60 with all
options. If you don't like the idea of installing it yourself, check around
your town for a good stereo shop that does alarm installs. Self-installs
are more secure (usually). The thieves know that "there are only 3 pro alarm
installers in town, and they always install everything in the same place
every time" so a home-install where you can take the time to hide the parts
and integrate everything well is worth it, in my opinion.
Take my car for instance: They may hotwire it. They may break the
steering lock. They may bypass wiring. They may rip out the alarm control
unit. Hell, they could even have the _keys_ to it. But without disarming
with the alarm keyfob, they will never, ever, _ever_ make the EFI system
fire an injector unless they know _exactly_ how the alarm and EFI system are
interfaced.
A pro thief would simply put a little CRX in his pocket and walk off with
it... ;-)
Hearing an alarm go off once, will probably keep the jackass away for
years; especially if you immediately come running out waving a double barrel
12 gauge.

Good luck,

David
