It happens. First, you may or may not have stripped threads in the pan.
I've stripped a lot of plugs, still got an Ok pan. You can turn and pull
the plug out with a big vicegrip or some such. While you're at the car
part store getting this, you can also get a replacement plug and the
gaskets, etc. The parts store will probably have a big rack of them
labelled 'Help!' (no kidding) with a chart of what size goes to which
car. If they don't have the chart try a different store. Or you could
get a plug from the dealer, the replacement plugs are soft and strip
more easily than stock. If you replace it and the threads in the pan are
stripped, so you can't get it tight, get an oversize plug, either from
the same rack, or the dealer if they have it. There are like 3 sizes
oversize, for those who learn slowly. If you're real lucky, they will
have an oversize plug with a little plug that unscrews from the big
plug, so you won't wear and tear on it too much.
