I own a 85 vw scirocco. Recently, I put in a new radio ( Jensen xcc
5220) after the installation I started to have problems. First was the
fact that my battery wouldn't hold a charge (I should mention that the
battery is 1 month old), second my alternator went out And I replaced
that, but my battery still don't hold a charge seeing that i had to jump
start the car. I notice that whenever I run any accessory (heater,
wipers, defroster, radio, lights, etc..) the engine runs harder ( note:
during idling the car would run with any accessory 600 to 800 rpm). Is
there anything else that may be the problem with my car.

Also before i forget, with the radio I've installed, stays juiced up
even when the ignition is off. ( I don't know if that is a factor , but
I working on a way that the radio will only be juiced up when the
ignition is on.
