Fill gas tank and ad Stabil to keep the fuel system safe.

Remove battery and store in a warm dry place if possible. Preferably on a
self limiting trickle charger.

Change engine oil and filter before storage and again before putting back
in service.

Flush cooling system and refill with appropriate mix of engine coolant
and water. Some cooling system additives may be helpful but not usually
necessary if the Antifreeze is fresh and good quality.

If the vehicle will be expossed to subzero weather you may also want to
winterize the brake hydraulic system and be sure to empty the windshield
washer resevoir. A good car cover is a must if left out in the weather.

That should do for winter storage. Anything longer than that might
require a bit more effort to ensure the engine cylinders remain in good
condition.
