The Commonwealth Center for Forensics Is Not a State Crime Lab

I’ve received several phone calls in the last hour about “breaking news related to a chemist at the Amherst state crime lab facing criminal charges.”

The Commonwealth Center for Forensics is not a state crime lab. It is a research center where we work on digital forensics and privacy. We have no contact with, knowledge of, or comment on the chemist in question.

If you’re a reporter looking for information, please don’t call me, as I can’t help you.
