B0: Initial Experience in CS Survey
Submit this homework using Gradescope.
Dan Sheldon, Lori Clarke, Dave Wemhoener and Emma Anderson along with the CICS Diversity Committee are working on studying students’ initial experiences in computer science. They’re asking everyone in 121, 186, and 187 to take a 10-minute survey. They intend to distribute the survey again next semester to 186, 187, 220 and 230 so that we can potentially have more than one data point per student.
Anyone who completes the survey will be entered in a drawing to win one of 3 $20 Amazon gift cards.
The survey is geared towards first-year CS majors and ET students, but it is open to all and they would love info from everyone in these classes.
To “submit” this as a 186 homework, first do the survey. On the last page, take a screenshot of the “you are done” message, and submit that to Gradescope.
THIS IS OPTIONAL. To make it optional, I will set the gradebook to drop your lowest homework grade. If you choose to do this “bonus” homework, then your lowest “real” homework grade will be dropped. If you don’t do it, then one of your lowest grades (which might be this one, or might be another, if you have another zero) will be dropped.
