About me

I am a Research Assistant Professor with the College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before joining UMass, I was a postdoc at the Johns Hopkins University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. I received my Ph.D. and B.Sc. degrees from the University of Tehran and Sharif University of Technology.

Research

My research interests include developing rigorous algorithms using online optimization, learning, and algorithm design that are applicable in several application domains such as data center energy optimization, electricity market, electric vehicles, smart energy systems, and networking applications such as multimedia networking and edge/cloud networking. Find out more.

I am always considering strong and highly-motivated graduate students. Please see my research interests and publications below for more information. You can apply here! Also, if you are already at UMass Amherst as a Ph.D., master, or undergraduate student and interested in my research, feel free to send me an email.
