Subject: Coffee and Standard Time From: cris@cs.umass.edu (Mistress and Meister) Date: Mon, 28 Oct 1996 09:30:02 -0500 (EST) To begin this new week not dour, Join the others, at the tenth hour: Donuts, Bagels, Coffee! find, at the lounge, and start your mind. Time(ly) News: Sunday marked the change from Daylight Savings to Standard, so we are back on EST. If you forgot to reset your clocks, they are now one hour too fast; visit http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/what.html for official time. Surprising News: The usually erratic "GRC-Time" (shown by the Physical-Plant controlled ubiquitous wallclocks) is within one second (!) of the US Naval Observatory's Master Clock, as observed at 12:22 on Sunday. However, our local computer time, according to the USNO, is about 56 +/- 1 seconds fast.
