There are fourteen questions for 100 total points plus 10 extra credit points. All are from the textbook, A Mathematical Foundation for Computer Science. "Problem 1.1.2", for example, is at the end of Section 1.1 and is labeled "P1.1.2". The number after each problem is its individual point value. Make sure you don't do an Exercise when a Problem is assigned! (Though the Exercises should be good practice and the answers to them are in the back of the book.)

• Page 1-53: Problem 1.8.2 (10) (There is an error in the problem statement: "proving the sequences" should read "proving the pieces".)
• Pages 1-55 and 1-56: Excursion 1.9, Writing Exercise 1 (10)
• Page 1-60: Problem 1.10.3 (5), 1.10.4 (10)
• Pages 1-63 and 1-64: Excursion 1.11, Writing Exercises 1 (5) and 2 (5).
• Page 2-5: Problems 2.1.1 (5) and 2.1.4 (5)
• Page 2-13: Problems 2.3.1 (10) and 2.3.4 (5)
• Page 2-24: Problems 2.6.1 (10) and 2.6.4 (a and b only, 10). In 2.6.1, add the additional premise "Every animal is either happy or angry."
• Pages 2-31 and 2-32: Problems 2.8.1 (10) and 2.8.5 (10 XC)
