Discussion Assignment #1: Intro to Unix and the EdLab

The goal of this (ungraded) activity was for each student to:

  1. Log into their EdLab account
  2. Learn enough Unix to navigate the directory system
  3. Get an idea of how to move files from another computer into the EdLab
  4. Create, compile, and run a small Java program on the EdLab
